WHAT IS THE NATO-CLUB?
Roadshow together with the Ministry of Defense
The Ministry of Defense of Hungary (MoD) and the International Centre for Development and Democratic Transition (ICDT) organized an international conference titled „On the way to the 21st Century – security, home defense and armed forces”. The conference proved to be a great success, therefore, the MoD and the ICDT decided to organize a „roadshow” on security of Hungary and the role of NATO in it.
The objective was to make young people informed and interested in the need for security and introduce them the role of the armed forces and NATO in making Hungary secure and prosperous.
The program of the roadshow events started with screening the short movie „Z2026”. It was followed by two presentations by one young civilian expert (delegated by the ICDT) and a young lieutenant (delegated by the MoD) on Hungarian security, NATO and the Hungarian Defense Forces (HDF).
The participants of the roadshow were trained on communication skills by experts from the ICDT and the MoD (7 ICDT young civilians and 6 lieutenants).
